Erik Prince is the Link Between Russigate and Comeygate
I’ve felt all along there had to be a link. Indeed, I’ve argued that Watergate 2.0 is about both these things, though Russiagate has gotten 99.9% of the attention so far.
Indeed, as I’ve argued before, one link is Roger Stone who besides his coordination with both Wikileaks and Guccifer 2.0, also seems to know an awful lot about the Comey letter. He seems to know the people who forced Comey’s hand.
But now we have another major link-Erik Prince. This also vindicates Louise Mensch who has claimed there’s a link.
What Erik Prince did is notable but it’s also notable because of who he is. He is the owner of the infamous Blackwater, a private company that mowed down Iraqis in 2007. While he couldn’t get a formal role in this WH-too controversial-he has been advising them.
The Intercept back on January 17:
“ERIK PRINCE, AMERICA’S most notorious mercenary, is lurking in the shadows of the incoming Trump administration. A former senior U.S. official who has advised the Trump transition told The Intercept that Prince has been advising the team on matters related to intelligence and defense, including weighing in on candidates for the Defense and State departments. The official asked not to be identified because of a transition policy prohibiting discussion of confidential deliberations.”
Indeed, my guess is that Prince’s fingerprints are somewhere in the recent military action that killed 200 Iraqis a few weeks ago.
Perhaps Jared Kushner can inquire why U.S. forces have killed a lot more Iraqi civilians after his father-in-law took office. https://t.co/rwOfqaoByb

My guess is this is at least in part due to Erik Prince’s sterling advice.
Then there was Prince’s role in the Comey letter.

Prince was too controversial to have an official role in the WH-the WH is now pointing out the meaningless distinction that he didn’t have an official role. Neither did Roger Stone after July, 2015. Don Segretti-and the 19 year old Roger Stone-had no official role in the Nixon 1972 campaign.
His sister, Besty DeVos is Education Secretary. She is totally unqualified for the job but makes big contributions to GOPers-and then there’s her brother’s work. But then again, being unqualified for the job your nominated to, is a feature not a bug in the Trump WH.
Ok. So this is who Prince is. No matter who it were this would be earth shattering stuff in light of the concerns about Trump-Russia ties and the level of Russian ties already found. But Prince being who he is makes it doubly or triply so.
The Daily Kos:
“And now the Trump-Russia connections include notorious Blackwater founder Erik Prince.
The United Arab Emirates arranged a secret meeting in January between Blackwater founder Erik Prince and a Russian close to President Vladimir Putin as part of an apparent effort to establish a back-channel line of communication between Moscow and President-elect Donald Trump, according to U.S., European and Arab officials. […]Though Prince had no formal role with the Trump campaign or transition team, he presented himself as an unofficial envoy for Trump to high-ranking Emiratis involved in setting up his meeting with the Putin confidant, according to the officials, who did not identify the Russian.
“The talks took place in the Seychelles islands about a week before the inauguration, were held over two days, and apparently were meant to explore whether the two sides could come to an arrangement over Iran and Syria. But while in January Prince was giving the impression of being Trump’s “unofficial envoy”, now that the meeting’s come to light his spokesman is angrily revising that notion.”
“Erik had no role on the transition team. This is a complete fabrication,” said a spokesman for Prince in a statement. “The meeting had nothing to do with President Trump. Why is the so-called under-resourced intelligence community messing around with surveillance of American citizens when they should be hunting terrorists?”
“Well, but that’s the thing, Erik. The intelligence community isn’t messing around with surveillance of American citizens, they’re surveilling suspicious foreign agents and people closely connected to Donald Trump keep freaking popping up in those conversations, over and over, whether it be in Trump Tower or in the Seychelles. You’ll have to forgive them if after the dozenth or so time it began to look a little damn odd.”
“So that’s another data point for the Trump-Russia speculation files. And though Prince currently is denying it, the Washington Post’s sources stated that the officials that arranged the meeting with Prince, for their parts, seemed to be under the specific impression that Prince was acting as an unofficial Trump “representative.” Whether Prince was lying to them then, or is lying to the Post now, has yet to be determined.”
The vote has to be lying to the Post now. Just considering the context and history of Trump and all these Russian ties. Although the Watergate analogy writes itself, this in many ways reminds you more of Iran-Contra.
If Russia turns on its buddy, Iran, the sanctions are removed. Again, believable because of how many times we’ve seen Trump people talk about removing the Russian sanctions:
1. Carter Page in July, 2016. Igor Sechin per the Steele Dossier who is a sanctioned Russian oligarch, offered Page a 19% stake in Rosnet in exchange for Trump dropping the Russian sanctions-for Ukraine. In November 2016, there was a sale of a 19.5% stake in Rosnet. The buyer’s identity has been concealed.
By the way, Carter Page was recruited by a Russian spy in 2013.
Could have happened to anyone.
2. We know about Michael Flynn’s five phone calls the day Obama imposed the sanctions. Sanctions imposed, we should note in response to Russia’s interference in the election on Trump’s behalf. So you have the beneficiaries of the interference on the phone with Russia the day it’s punished for its interference.
3. Then there was the other Michael, Michael Cohen-who’s never been to Prague except 2002.
In January,, he brought Flynn a proposal to: lift Russian sanctions.
4. Now we have Erik Prince.
5. By no means am I claiming this is an exhaustive list. The smart money would take the other side of that bet.
P.S. As we saw in my poll out last week, the long awaited poll results are in, and right now I’m just 11 points down vs. Peter King (GOP-NY-District 2). And the voters don’t even know who I am yet.
There is nothing more important in getting answers to Trump-Russia collusion than a Democratic House in 2019. Please donate to help me in my part of the effort to fight for a Dem House.
Thank you. We must have a Dem House. And so, we will
