Russian Collusion and Jeff Sessions’ Hungarian Connection
Very interesting essay in the Hungarian Free Press by a Dr. András Göllner. The last few days, we’ve heard a lot about how foreign intel was on to Russia’s interference well before the US-and the FBI with Comey, of course was last.
Poland, it turns out did some very good work in this regard-they have some very good intelligence. On the other hand, Hungary has a role in facilitating interference, and according to Dr. Golllner, collusion between Trump and Russia.
A lot of people take shots at Louise Mensch. But while I don’t argue she’s never wrong-none of us are never wrong-she’s gotten a lot right. She was way ahead on the FISA warrant while the NY Times was dismissing it.
Many things she has said, seemed like wild conspiracy theories until we get more information. Like when she wrote this about Jeff Sessions many found it farfetched and improbable.
“Jeff Sessions: Attorney General, Suspect.”
“Jeff Sessions has just been confirmed. It is now incumbent on patriotic Republicans and Democrats, and, failing that, patriotic lawyers willing to bring cases, to demand that Sessions recuse himself from any and all investigations concerning Russian hacking of the election, the Department of Justice investigation into corruption and election interference by the FBI field office in New York and the NYPD, and any investigations involving Steve Bannon or Trump or Breitbart campaign staff, past or present.”
Of course, Sessions would go on to recuse himself and what she wrote doesn’t seem wacky now-indeed, it’s how events would unfold. But this was on February 7, well before he was discovered to have perjured himself on meeting multiple times with the Russian envoy.
In the Hungarian essay I referenced above, Jeff Sessions is mentioned.
“One of the first things the FBI should do, along with the Congressional intelligence Committees, is to examine J.D. Gordon’s Hungarian agenda book. Gordon was Jeff Sessions’ deputy during the campaign, and served as National Security Advisor to the Trump campaign. He travelled six times to Budapest, the European Headquarters of the Russian secret service. He should be questioned under oath and asked point blank: Who paid for his visits to Hungary, during the campaign? Why was it so important for him to spend so much time in this small, politically insignificant country, as a member of the Trump campaign team? Did he meet Finkelstein or Habony in Budapest, or Lánczi in London? Who were the oligarchs or officials he met in Hungary, and did he ever examine his contacts’ connections to the Russian secret services?”
As Mensch noted back on February 7, Jeff Sessions is who recommended Carter Page. There has been talk of J.D. Gordon’s role in changing the GOP platform. But that he was Sessions’ deputy has not been appreciated till now. As for Carter Page, he’s all but admitted he discussed removing the sanctions-in exchange for 19% of Rosnet.
More from this very interesting essay-it’s a must read.
“It was during the 2016 Presidential election campaign, and for the first time in American electoral history, that a hostile foreign power, aided and abetted by one of the candidates, was able to decisively intervene and significantly influence the outcome of an American election.”
“American public opinion, the mass and social media, the political establishment and, the country’s secret services, are bitterly divided about the veracity of the relationship between the Russian secret services and Donald Trump’s campaign team. Most commentators claim that even if conclusive evidence of collusion were to be found, it is well nigh impossible to prove, that the relationship had any tangible impact on the outcome of the election.”
First of all, whether it changed the outcome is besides the point. Nixon won 1972 in a landslide. Would it have been closer had G. Gordon Liddy not broken in to the DNC?
Tom Brady was suspended four games even though no one thinks the deflated footballs changed the outcome of an AFC championship playoff game the Pats won 45-7.
If you cheat, arguing it didn’t change the outcome is not a defense. But, in any case, this Hungarian essay argues that there is evidence of an electoral impact.
“This first, of a two part series, summarizes some fresh evidence about the nature of the collusion between the Russians and the Trump campaign. It will provide some empirically verifiable evidence of the electoral impact of the Russian leaks, in the context of the strategic aspirations of the Trump campaign.”
“We do not claim to have any insight into the evidence at the disposal of the FBI about the alleged collusion between the Trump team and the Russian secret service. What we have, is evidence, that the FBI is forbidden by law to investigate, because it lies outside the territory of the USA.”
Speaking of those who dismiss Louise Mensch:
You're a menace to truth. PA, MI, and WI were not "hacked." HRC lost there. Narrowly. But she lost. "Putin" was one of many factors. https://t.co/TOK6DmrWs8

Linker’s confusing ‘truth’ and ‘conventional wisdom.’ The conventional narrative is that they were not hacked. The truth is, there is reason to suspect they were hacked.

In those tweets, Guccifer 2.0 boasted of already being inside the election system and invited fellow hackers to join her-Roger Stone told us it’s a she.
I would not be so impressed with the conventional narrative that tells us there was no actual hacking of the machines.

Right now the conventional wisdom is that Trump is showing himself to be normal and sane-after all he’s dropping lots of big bombs. Thank God. We thought he was nuts. Turns out he’s omni sane. Look at him play chicken with Kim Jong-un over nuclear war. Oh what a relief it is.
But we must keep our eye on the ball-Trump’s quite possible Russia collusion. We must have the truth.
P.S. As we saw in my poll out last week, the long awaited poll results are in, and right now I’m just 11 points down vs. Peter King (GOP-NY-District 2). And the voters don’t even know who I am yet.
There is nothing more important in getting answers to Trump-Russia collusion than a Democratic House in 2019. Please donate to help me in my part of the effort to fight for a Dem House.
Thank you. We must have a Dem House. And so, we will.
