Trump Takes Detour From Margo Lago to Avoid Tax March Protestors
Great. It’s not like we’re not paying enough on his security as it is. And the media should stop calling Margo Lago the Southern White House. It’s Trump’s private business that we’re subsidizing.
“Some protesters had pictures of him wearing a yellow chicken suit. That seems to fit.”
“President Trump’s motorcade on Saturday reportedly took a longer route than usual on its way back to the president’s Mar-a-Lago resort in what reporters said appeared to be an attempt to avoid large crowds of Tax March protesters.”
“According to pool reports, Trump’s motorcade made a long loop to get back to Mar-a-Lago after leaving Trump International Golf Club in Florida around 1:30 p.m.”
“Meanwhile, reporters traveling separately in press vans that continued on the shorter route back to the luxury resort immediately encountered “hundreds of protesters” demanding the president release his tax returns.”

In the last few days, he’s refused to release the WH visitor logs and now he’s ducking voters who want him to release his tax returns. To believe him-why would you ever believe him?-he’s still in the middle of the world’s longest aduit.
“C.J. Ingram, a D.C. resident in her 50s who works in a funeral home, attended the march, her first protest during Trump’s presidency.”
“I’m really mad because he made Barack Obama produce his birth certificate, and he’s not even producing his tax returns,” Ingram said. “Come on, really? What are you hiding?”
“Trump has refused to release his tax returns, stating that he has been under audit. Asked for comment Thursday on the Tax March, the White House referred to comments earlier this week from press secretary Sean Spicer, who repeated that Trump is under an IRS audit, but indicated the president has been transparent with his finances.”
If he wants to be transparent why not release the letter proving the audit? Why not release previous years of taxes no longer under audit?
We see through you.

“The non-profit, Electronic Privacy Information Center filed suit in D.C. federal court Saturday over Trump’s tax returns, arguing there is a provision in IRS regulations that allows their release.”
“During the march in the District, the lineup of speakers included Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) and Rep. Jamie B. Raskin (D-Md.) and others. The speakers derided the president, and called on him to act ethically and read the Constitution.”
“Releasing your tax returns is lowest ethical bar for a president,” Wyden said. “And we’re going to make sure he clears that hurdle.”
“Raskin suggested Trump was acting more like a king than an elected president.”
That is the fundamental problem. Trump’s refusal to release his tax returns or the WH visitor logs is part and parcel of his sense of being above the rules that govern the rest of us.
Meanwhile 26 states are considering bills to require POTUS releasing tax returns.

Make sure your electeds support it.
In my race against Peter King-I’m still working with the local Democratic Establishment to get on the ticket-I will demand King sign it. He won’t want to.
This is why Trump’s taxes are a great political issue. Every Republican who refuses to sign it can be hit on this issue again and again. Literally in every campaign speech their challenger should open with a request that the GOPer support Trump releasing his tax returns.
P.S. As we saw in my poll out a few weeks ago, the long awaited poll results are in, and right now I’m just 11 points down vs. Peter King (GOP-NY-District 2). And the voters don’t even know who I am yet.
There is nothing more important in getting answers to Trump-Russia collusion than a Democratic House in 2019. Please donate to help me in my part of the effort to fight for a Dem House.
Thank you. We must have a Dem House. And so, we will.
