25 Years is Enough for Peter King NY 2’s Imperious Reign
And I’ve got to go out and say it: Mike Sax is the One to dethrone an arrogant Peter King
Ok-I lifted that one from Nixon-‘Nixon is the One.’
But then Trump lifted ‘Make America Great Again’ from Reagan.
I wrote about the recent Gravis Marketing poll results. Even I’m afraid to believe them but they show that after voters are acquainted with my stance vs. King’s on the issues, I have a 10 point lead- (51-41).
To work with me to dethrone the imperious and arrogant King, please donate. 25 Years is Enough:
We can have a Dem Congress, we must have a Dem Cogress, and we will.
Of course, this takes us back to the old philosophical quandary: If a tree falls and no one is in the forest does it make a sound?
When I commissioned the previous SuveyUSA results, they seemed relatively impressive-I was ‘only down by 11.’
Considering that King has won 11 straight elections by 20 points, 30 points, 40 points every single year, that seemed encouraging. What’s clear three months later is his popularity has plummeted as the arrogant monarch has in many ways abdicated his throne. Or at least his responsibilities to the people of our NY 2 district.
But that March poll got very little play. Gravis assured me they’d be sending out a major media release-and that it would go to real bonafide media outlets-that they told me included Nate Silver. And they were willing to commission my poll for 40% less than SurveyUSA.
And here is that promised media release along with a video at the Orlando Political Observer.
And will you look at that-we also made YouTube:
If you look at the picture in the top right corner, I’m the guy to the left of Bill Clinton-though I think our heads are cut off there!
Peter King has lost a great deal of goodwill from his constituents in a short amount of time, Even Republican voters resent his refusal to simply speak to his constituents. King refuses to do a single town hall, dismissing his own constituents as a bunch of paid out of towners just interested in a screaming match.
No wonder King doesn’t want to talk to us after he voted with Donald Trump, Paul Ryan, and Mitch McConnell for that awful, terrible, bad, very bad, no good so-called healthcare bill that Mitch McConnell eupehmisticallly calls the Better Care Reconciliation Act.
In truth it’s the Much Worse Care Reconciliation Act and Peter King after playing his King Hamlet routine for a few months-‘Will I vote for it, won’t I vote for it? Who can possible know?’-of course, voted for it.
Anyone who is at all familiar with his body of work never doubted it for a second. Just like Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and Devin Nunes, for Peter King it is always the Republican party first, the American people second.
He is Donald Trump and Paul Ryan’s rubber stamp. He thinks the danger is that a Special Counsel was appointed rather than, you know, Russian interference in our election that the Trump campaign may have been complicit with, that they are being investigated for. Or that Trump fired Comey to end the Russia probe.
No, Congressman, what is dangerous is when Republicans like you forget your oaths and responsibilities to this country in the interests of narrow partisan advantage.
I mean the Congressman’s lackadaisical attitude towards what is the crime of the century-whether or not there was collusion and there might have been-is what’s really dangerous.
Indeed, Peter King has even voted against Donald Trump releasing his tax returns as every President going back to Nixon did; even Nixon was more transparent than Herr Trump, the man Peter King calls ‘Yes Boss.’
Ted Yoho got in some hot water recently for his Freudian slip-‘Devin Nunes works for the President, he’s accountable to the President.’
Peter King-big surprise-also defends Devin Nunes.
“PETER KING: DEVIN NUNES HAS BEEN ‘TREATED UNFAIRLY’ IN THE LAST WEEK”
You see what I mean folks? He’s even talking like Donald Trump now. And Nunes is under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for his bizarre behaviour and his attempts to protect Trump from scrutiny.
Yet King thinks Nunes is the one who has been treated unfairly?
King did a lot of jawboning about Hillary’s emails during the election. Now it turns out that he is the one who mishandled classified information.
We have a legitimacy crisis in this country as we don’t know if the so called President is legitimate or not. Is Peter King the one to represent us in the U.S. Intelligence Committee? Clearly not.
He’s no longer the one to represent us Long Islanders here in NY 2. There was a time-in the 1990s-where he wasn’t so bad. But clearly 25 years is enough for him.
He seems not to enjoy being our Congressman anymore. He now is involved in what Kelly Ann Conway would call a purely joyless clinging to his power.
If eight is enough for a 1970s tv show, 25 years is enough for an arrogant Republican monarch who has been here too long and will always put party over country.
See please join me, your humble blogger and challenger for the NY 2 Congressional seat to dethrone the King. We can have a Dem Congress, we must have a Dem Congress, and so we will have a Dem Congress.
Please help me anyway you can. If you live in the area you can volunteer-or at least tell everyone you know. And no matter where you are in the country, donations help.
