If Mitch McConnell Has Lost Rob Portman Trumpcare Really is in Trouble
Ok, this is a lot of fun-a catfight between McConnell and Ohio Senator Rob Portman. So let’s start with the brussel sprouts. It’s not over till it’s over yet. And it’s not over yet. When will it be over? When they go to August recess without passing Trumpcare.
The DSCC sent me this email yesterday:
Remember how victorious we all felt back at the end of March when House Republicans were forced to pull their vote on repealing Obamacare?
The New York Times reported it as a “major defeat for Trump,” declaring the “push to repeal health law fails.” The Chicago Tribune called it a “stunning defeat.” U.S. News and World Report pronounced, “Trump tastes failure.”
“Then, barely a month later, a repeal bill passed the House.”
“Mitch McConnell delayed the Senate vote to repeal Obamacare this week, but this is no time to rest. He’s planning to try again after the Senate returns from the July 4th recess, which means we have to spend the coming week fighting as hard as we can to stop repeal.”
The DSCC nailed it. McConnell is hoping we celebrate. It’s not over and we have to keep hitting these GOP Senators with everything we have.
Senate Republicans are using the next few days to try and build support for this terrible health care bill. Keep calling.

Keep calling. Keep protesting, keep engaging in anyway you can.
With that said, let’s look at a rather startling catfight between Mitch McConnell and Rob Portman:
“Portman and McConnell clash over health bill.”
