You Go Hillary: Trump’s Legitimacy Must be Questioned
As we saw in the last post, Hillary’s book is number 1 on Amazon-and Barnes and Nobles’nonfiction list as well for that matter.

One comment she made this week has gotten a lot of attention:
“After a break, Colbert turned to Clinton’s recent interview with NPR’s Terry Gross, in which she said that she’s not ready to “rule out” questioning President Trump’s legitimacy if more information about Russian meddling in the election emerges. While he admitted to having similar “fantasies,” Colbert said, “My question is, what then? There is no constitutional mechanism to question the election.”
“Nobody’s talking about contesting the election, including me,” Clinton said. “Because there is no mechanism.”
When the audience groaned, Colbert scolded them, saying, “No, this is someone who believes in the Constitution, unlike the guy who got the job.”
“But I think legitimacy is rooted in what comes out of these investigations,” Clinton added. “Because if there is evidence of coordination, communication, whatever it might be, then I think millions of Americans are going to say, well, those raise questions about legitimacy.”
“Now, what do you do with those questions, besides ask them?” she continued. “What you do is mobilize politically to express your will and your rejection of that kind of Russian involvement and coordination at the ballot box. I mean, that is where we settle our political differences.”
By the way that’s pretty much where I am too. There’s no way to overturn the election or redo it. Unfortunately, if you learn a year later that the refs were paid off in last year’s Super Bowl, you can’t just play the game again.
Though on a moral basis I understand the sentiment and I agree with it.

I understand the sentiment and on a moral basis it has merit. But as Hillary herself understands, there’s no way to ‘Install Hillary.’
Much as I wish there was.
But this doesn’t mean that Trump is legitimate. Honestly, it all goes back to the Comey letter. Comey’s letter both won it for Trump and meant he’d never be seen as legitmiate-as the FBI Director isn’t supposed to pick the President and that’s what Comey did.
That’s before we even get to Russia. Though-yes, believe it or not-there IS a connection between the Comey letter and Russian interference.
The way we may end up looking at the 2016 election is like we now look at the 19189World Series-as a rigged disgrace. No one talks about who won or lost the Black Sox Series as they threw the games.
The 2016 election is a little different in that Hillary didn’t throw the game but the refs were paid off. But in time we will have to see 2016 as both an asterisk and a very serious cautionary tale for the future of our democracy.
As for Hillary she’s not a loser-she was cheated.
“The Real Hillary Clinton Conspiracy Is What Stuck Us With President Donald Trump.”
“The most royally screwed-over person in the history of American politics should be in the White House, right now.”
She should be. But unfortunately she never will be as there’s no mechanism to do it; you can’t replay the World Series two years later. Unfortunately, the theft was succesful.
But again, we must never forget and we must learn from this how fragile our democracy really is and that it must be defended through constant vigilance.
It’s a very good thing that Hillary is now broaching this subject.
John Lewis was one of the first-and only-to to do until now.
I think Ted Lieu has also touched on this issue of illegitimacy. He’s certainly correct that until we know what happened in that election, Trump has no right to regular order in Congress.
“Lawmaker calls for complete shutdown of Trump agenda over possible collusion with Russia.”
Finally let me finish off with a thought: we need a Democratic House to impeach Donald Trump.
Won’t you send me to Congress to work with Congressmen Lieu, Lewis, and Adam Schiff-to say nothing of Congresswoman Maxine Waters-to do that?
Again, I agree on rule of law. Let’s have a real and thorough investigation and only impeach Trump if that’s what the facts support. But with Devin Nunes, Trey Gowdy, and Peter King running the Intelligence Committee I think we both know that will never happen.
P.S. Hello! I’m Mike Sax Democratic candidate for NY2. If you want to ride the Impeachment Train all the way to Washington DC in 2019 then please vote for me, Mike Sax NY2.
And-get it on the t shirt.
Think of the shirt as a one time investment in restoring legitimacy to this country.
And please donate.
