Has Papadoupolos Been Wearing a Wire?
You had some Trumpsters this morning dismissing Papadoupolos as a ‘coffee boy’-Sarah Huckabee Sanders called him a volunteer; Hannity says he doesn’t know him-wow, so case closed.
But no coffee boy, must less some volunteer off the street gets to sit at that table on March 31, 2016 with Donald Trump.
Ironically, Papadoupolos himself tried that same tact when being interviewed by the FBI and it led him to be indicted. He had claimed that Russian professor was ‘a nothing’ which was quite false-the professor actually has significant Kremlin ties.
Anyway, Papadoupolos was no mere volunteer and the revelations about him and the emails the Russians offered him totally blows open this case. It also makes you wonder who’s next. One possibility: Jeff Sessions.

But has Papdoupolos been wearing a wire?
The revelation that Papadopoulos was serving as a “proactive cooperator” touched off widespread speculation about how much he had done to help the Mueller team.
Ron Hosko, a former assistant director of the FBI’s criminal division, says that it is possible that Papadopoulos wore a wire as part of his cooperation agreement.
“I think it’s a fair assessment that it means Mueller and Co. might have been working with [Papadopoulos] to engage other subjects in conversation along the lines suggested in the article,” said Hosko, referring to the Hot Air article which discussed the possibility of Papadopoulos wearing a wire.
“Recordings of Papadopoulos’ conversations could have then been used to approach additional subjects.”
“On CNN, legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin said that the government’s disclosure strongly suggests that Papadopoulos was wearing a wire or recording conversations with Trump associates.”
“That this says to me is that Papadopoulos between July and Cctober was wearing a wire. He was recording conversations secretly with people who are subjects and targets of this investigation,” he said, adding that “that’s the only reasonable explanation of what’s in those court papers.”
“If he was wearing a wire, this summer and fall, think about that, just weeks ago, that is a whole new chapter of possibilities in this investigation and potentially a very, very big deal.”
Yes, you might think it’d be so much fun to be a fly on the wall over at the Trump WH right now. Looks like maybe Papadoupolos has been exactly that.
P.S. I’m Mike Sax and I’m running for the NY 2nd District and have a question:
Would you prefer Peter King to continue to sit on the House Intelligence Committee Russia hearings or your buddy Mike?
If you’d prefer me I want you to consider either buying a campaign t shirt and/or donating today.
The shirt is pretty cool-in all due modesty. See-Hillary likes it too! Yes-that’s really me to her right!
Think of the shirt as a one time investment in restoring legitimacy to this country.
And please donate so we can compete with Peter King’s $4 million. I know no lobbyists or millionaires like Peter King. Small donations are the engine of the Mike Sax NY2 campaign. Together we can do it. Because we must.
