Perjury: Jared Kushner Testified He Knew of no Campaign Wikileaks Contact
Is perjury by any other name any less treasonous? Yesterday we looked at the fact that Chuck Grassley and Dianne Feinstein want to hear from Kushner again as his previous testimony was ‘incomplete.’
Kushner has a history of giving ‘incomplete’ documentation-to his security clearance form, to his public explanations of his meetings with Russians, his part in the (in)famous Trump Tower Russia meeting along with Donald Jr and Paul Manafort.
And incomplete sounds a lot better than lie and MUCH better than perjured himself. But when you lie to Congress that’s perjury and he what he’s testified regarding campaign contacts with Wikileaks previously was clearly a lie.
“White House senior adviser Jared Kushner told congressional Russia investigators that he did not communicate with WikiLeaks and did not recall anyone on the Trump campaign who had, a source with knowledge of his testimony told CNN.”
“But Kushner did receive and forward an email from Donald Trump Jr. about contact Trump Jr. had with WikiLeaks, according to a new report this week and a letter from the Senate Judiciary Committee.”
“Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, was asked in July during his closed-door congressional testimony if he had any contacts with WikiLeaks or its founder Julian Assange and he responded that he had not, according to the source. He also told Congress he did not know of anyone on the campaign who had contacted WikiLeaks.”
That last sentence is a problem. He told them he didn’t know of any one in the Trump campaign who had contacts yet we now know he received the email from Donald Jr about: Jr’s communications with Wikileaks.
But it’s even worse than that as there’s another report which shows Kushner’s media outlet, The Observer, became a favorite conduit for hacks:
"Kushner has long denied any collusion with the Russian government, which is suspected of targeting the 2016 election, but his newspaper proved a favored conduit for hacks, which the U.S. intelligence community says were carried out on Kremlin orders."https://t.co/GdqcGGaRJl

Um, ee, er well…
“In the fall of 2014, Julian Assange, the embattled head of WikiLeaks, was meeting with a steady stream of supportive journalists in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, where he had taken refuge to avoid extradition to Sweden on sexual assault charges. Among those seeking an audience with Assange was a freelancer working for the New York Observer, the newspaper owned and published by President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and key advisor, Jared Kushner.”
“Ken Kurson, the newspaper’s editor in chief — along with a freelance writer he’d hired — helped arrange a “no-holds-barred” interview with Assange that October.”
“My editor Ken Kurson (email@example.com) and I are very interested in an interview with Julian Assange. This would be a cover story.… We will be in London the first week of October,” wrote Jacques Hyzagi, a freelance reporter for the Observer, to a press consultant who arranged interviews for WikiLeaks.
So Kushner’s newspaper at least seems to have surprisingly long ties to Julian Aassange
As do many Right wing politicians and parties around the world. Yet because of some of Wikileaks early leaks there’s a totally false assumption that Assange is in any sense a man of the Left.
AND: there was ALSO a planned meeting with Edward Snowden. Yet that Edward Snowden. Russian asset Edward Snowden.
“After that, the plan was to travel to Moscow to meet with Edward Snowden, the former U.S. National Security Agency contractor. Snowden’s team declined a request for an interview from Hyzagi, according to Ben Wizner, Snowden’s attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union.”
By the way, why do I presume Snowden’s a Russian asset? Because why else would Putin be paying for Snowden’s room and board in Russia if he weren’t given them all kinds of info on NSA sources and methods? The answer is: there is no other plausible reason.
Again when the topic is Jared Kushner or anyone in the Trump campaign and Russia it’s always even worse than it looks. There is another Jared bombshell detonating at this same moment:
“President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, failed to disclose what lawmakers called a “Russian backdoor overture and dinner invite” involving a banker who has been accused of links to Russian organized crime, three sources familiar with the matter told NBC News.”
“An email chain described Aleksander Torshin, a former senator and deputy head of Russia’s central bank who is close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, as wanting Trump to attend an event on the sidelines of a National Rifle Association convention in Louisville, Kentucky, in May 2016, the sources said. The email also suggests Torshin was seeking to meet with a high-level Trump campaign official during the convention, and that he may have had a message for Trump from Putin, the sources said.”

File this away next to the large Papadopoulos binder we now have; Trump’s alleged ‘coffee boy’ who met with foreign dignitaries on his behalf and sent many emails about linking up with Russia to senior Trump aides-Jeff Sessions, Sam Clovis, Paul Manafort-and ironically enough, Corey Lewandowski; ironically as Lewandowski has popped off about how Manafort and his long time business partner, Roger Stone, ought to go to prison over Russia.
File it away with Jared’s attendance at the Trump Tower Russia meeting in June, 2016.
File it away also with the efforts of both the head of Cambridge Analytica in June, 2016 and the Mercers who own CA in August of the year to reach out to Wikileaks to release Hillary’s 33,000 deleted emails.
And file it away with Trump’s words on July 27, 2016 in what turned out to be his last press conference of the 2016 election: Russia, if you’re listening…
P.S. I’m Mike Sax, I’m running for Congress in the NY 2nd District and I’m a Hillary Clinton Democrat.
Meeting her recently was one of the biggest honors in my life to stand next to such a fine public servant and trailblazer. She seemed to like our Impeachment Train campaign t shirts too!
Think of the shirt as a one time investment in restoring legitimacy to this country.
And please donate so we can compete with Peter King’s $4 million. I know no lobbyists or millionaires like Peter King. Small donations are the engine of the Mike Sax NY2 campaign. Together we can do it. Because we must.
