Happy Presidents Day to the True POTUS, Hillary Clinton
Happy Not My President’s Day. Anti Trump rallies know how to celebrate President’s Day when we have no legitimate President.
Tihs tweet says it all.

I doubt Hillary will run again but if she did I’d vote for her a NY second. I know that there are some who would disagree strenuously. Though I have spoken to a number on Twitter who agree with me.
Again, I don’t think it will be her. But there are other ways for her to serve the public-as this is so clearly her passion. One possibility I’ve discussed before is she could become an advocate for voting rights-fighting the manifold states, counties, and districts engaging in blatant voter suppression in recent years.
We’ll have to keep a close eye on what Trump and Sessions are doing at the federal level to see if Trump uses his phantom 3-5 million illegal voters all for Hillary Clinton as an excuse for suppression at the federal level.
It’s true that without Comey’s October 28 letter she would be President today, it’s also true that if the Voting Rights Act had not been rolled back in 2013, she’d also have won. For her to travel the country in front of crowds advocating an end to voter suppression would be powerful and it’d have the added bonus of driving Trump crazy-as he’s already very sensitive to the fact he lost by 3 million votes and the EC only because of Comey not to mention Russia’s hacking.
She could also travel with Al Gore against the EC-as both Democrats were robbed by this infamous relic.
On President’s Day as we see how much Trump is embarrassing us worldwide-the former Swedish PM is-very effectively-trolling him on Twitter over his made up terrorist attack in Sweden-we need optimism where we can find it.
Scott Sumner has an optimist view of things: he argues that Americans vote for someone the opposite of their previous President. In recent years this has been true. Carter was the opposite of Nixon but in many ways Reagan was the opposite of Carter. Bill Clinton was in many ways the opposite of Bush I.
Bush II was in many ways the opposite of Clinton. Obama was clearly the opposite of W and Trump is very evidently the opposite of Obama.
If 2020 holds true to form we are going to get a very, very good-if not great-President in 2020-Kirsten Gilibrand?
In the early going-and I emphasize it’s very early-Ms. Gilibrand is impressing me the most.
Here though I’m skeptical Sumner has this right.
“Rush Limbaugh and many right-wingers of his ilk have long had notable fascists streaks.”
“Actually, back in the 1990s he was slightly libertarian. Don’t know what happened to him, but today he seems to be aiming his stuff at a much dumber audience. He was actually kind of witty back when Clinton was President.”
Rush was libertarian in the 1990s? In the 90s was foaming at the mouth every day about impeaching Bill Clinton over a consensual extramarital affair.
Sumner may be talking about trade and immigration. Rush’s party was a little more ‘libertarian’ perhaps.
I think the truth is not that Rush is changed-Rush has always been like this-but that Sumner has changed.
P.S. If you enjoy my blog and my support of #TheResistance-I’m also considering a 2018 run against GOP Congressmen Peter King of the NY 2nd district-then please consider a donation.
