Julian Assange’s CIA Conspiracy Theory and What it Says About Rush Limbaugh Nation
On its own terms it’s preposterous: the DNC hacks were a false flag by the CIA to make Mother Russia look bad.
So I guess Assange has graduated from claiming a dead DNC worker-Assange did everything to suggest Hillary Clinton had something to do with his death-who did the leaks.
You’re tempted to say that this is Assange’s final jumping of the shark. After all, how can anyone-other than Glenn Greenwald-claim Assange is a credible source again?
But Anonymous yesterday performed a much needed public service yesterday and pointed out the fact that Assange was always a fascist fraud.

First and foremost we have to make it clear the Julian Assange has been a fascist ideologue far before 2010. @Khanoisseur (3)

This is certainly consistent with his record. Without this context the notion of him meeting with Nigel Farage is hard to wrap your head around. But when you examine the record, you discover that he has long ties with Farage’s UKIP party.
“In the wake of the WikiLeaks frenzy, Assange often tried to clarify where he stood politically. His simultaneous embrace of leftist icons such as Noam Chomsky and right-wing libertarians seemed to indicate that he was open to ideas from either end of the political spectrum, so long as they were directed against authoritarianism. Finally, in 2013, Assange proclaimed, “The only hope as far as electoral politics presently … is the libertarian section of the Republican Party.”
“Yet even that declaration was misleading. In practice, Assange has a history of working closely with forces far more radical than the Republican Liberty Caucus. Late in 2012, Assange announced the formation of the WikiLeaks Party in Australia. The party nominated Senate candidates in three states, with Assange running for office in Victoria. (He stumped via Skype from his refuge in the Ecuadorian Embassy.) It had been expected that WikiLeaks would ultimately throw its support to the Green Party—especially after the party’s National Council voted in favor of such a move. Instead, WikiLeaks aligned with a collection of far-right parties. One was the nativist Australia First, whose most prominent figure was a former neo-Nazi previously convicted of coordinating a shotgun attack on the home of an Australian representative of Nelson Mandela’s African National Congress. Members of the WikiLeaks Party blamed the flap on an “administrative error”; mass resignations from the party’s leadership followed. Those who quit cited a lack of transparency in the party’s operations, and some pointed to remarks Assange had made blasting a Green Party proposal to reform Australia’s harsh treatment of asylum seekers. For his part, Assange welcomed the walkout, saying that it had eliminated elements that were “holding the party back.” He won 1.24 percent of the vote.”
What made Assange’s work for Roger Stone and Donald Trump in the election is this-totally false-impression of him as ‘an avid supporter of human rights, transparency, and open government.’
Without that reputation-ie, if his true politics were known-he’d have been considerably less effective.
So much for Assange. But what his absurd theory also exposes-other than that the leak didn’t come from a heroic DNC worker who ended up a martyr for his commitment to Bernie Sanders-is that the GOP has been projecting for years.
Remember Jeanne Kirkpatrick’s 1984 Reagan Convention speech: ‘There are only liberals and Americans…?’
The idea was that we Democrats didn’t even love our country, that we were subversive, traitorous. But that was when the Deplorables had the numbers on their side. Now that they no longer do, they’re loyalty to our country has gone with it.

Now Rush Limbaugh nation is ready to believe in the innocence of the Russian government over their own intelligence agencies.
“Conservative media figures are embracing a wild WikiLeaks conspiracy theory that the CIA hacked the DNC, and then framed Russia.”
“The theory spread so fast conservative radio giant Rush Limbaugh had time to tout it on his show on March 7, when he denied Trump had any Russian campaign ties to Russia.”
“The CIA has the ability to hack anybody they want and make it look like the Russians are doing it or make it look like the ChiComs are doing it or make it look like the Israelis are doing it,” Limbaugh said, using a slang term for Chinese communists.
He continued: “They have the ability to mask and mock various other state actors and make it look like — so I think because of everything that we’re learning here, the danger that Donald Trump has faced ever since he won the election is greater than we’ve ever known. And it is obvious to me that this whole business — well, I say obvious, I’m leaning toward being near certain that this entire pretext of Trump working with the Russians to affect the outcome of the election, folks, it is so ridiculous.”
Right-wing sites weren’t the only ones spreading the theory.
“It was picked up by Russian state-sponsored English media outlets like Sputnik, which gleefully mocked “evidence-free” accusations that Russia hacked the election, linking to tweets “chock-full of sarcasm and memes” about the CIA’s capabilities.
“Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov again denied Russia’s involvement in the 2016 election hacking, pointing to the WikiLeaks documents on Thursday and noting “the CIA could get access to such ‘fingerprints’ and then use them.”
So Breitbart, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Ann Coulter are on the same side as Russian state television rather than their own intelligence agencies.
Finally we see who truly doesn’t love their country.
