In Russia Investigation Don’t Forget NY Attorney General Eric Schneiderman
Trump has spent an awful lot of time at Margo Lago since he’s been in office. He hasn’t spent so many days at the WH. But it’s interesting to note where he hasn’t gone at all.
“Since being sworn in nearly three months ago, Donald Trump has spent a historically high percentage of his time away from the White House. He’s traveled to his Mar-a-Lago second home in Florida so often that it’s wreaking havoc on Palm Beach County. He’s traveled to his golf resort in Virginia. He’s taken victory tours across the country. And yet bizarrely, since he took office, Trump has never traveled back to his primary residence at Trump Tower. In fact he’s never once set foot in his lifelong hometown of New York City, period, since inauguration. So what gives?”
Part of it is how unpopular Trump is in NYC. He is the most unpopular person in the world in NYC. But it may also be about the fact that NY AG Eric Schneiderman is doggedly on his heels.
“As Palmer Report reported yesterday, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is expected to bring RICO indictments in Donald Trump’s Russian financial scandal (link). You and I both know that law enforcement can’t simply arrest a sitting president. But given Donald Trump’s general lack of understanding of how any of this works, does he know that? Is that the real reason why, even as he searches for an excuse to travel away from the White House nearly every weekend, he’s declining to set foot in New York City?”
I think it may be to avoid Schneiderman but also he can’t handle the booing. He is not welcome here in our city. I say our, though technically I live on Long Island. But I agree with NYC.
Meanwhile, even though the media’s attention has been diverted by Trump’s weapons of mass distraction, the walls continue to close in.
“Yesterday, two other reliable sources asserted that New York AG Schneiderman is looking to bring down the “entire three ring circus” and that FBI Director James Comey may begin making major arrests as soon as next week (link). That led to the question of just how Schneiderman and Comey are working together on this. Claude Taylor, a former member of Bill Clinton’s White House who has inside sources when it comes to the Trump-Russia investigation, chimed in to explain it thusly: “First round is from Comey’s investigation. But NY AG is hard at it with a separate follow on investigation-expect RICO indictments” (link). And that makes for a whole new ballgame.”
They need to hurry up before Trump and Kim Jong-un destroy the world in a nuclear war.
P.S. As we saw in my poll out last week, the long awaited poll results are in, and right now I’m just 11 points down vs. Peter King (GOP-NY-District 2). And the voters don’t even know who I am yet.
There is nothing more important in getting answers to Trump-Russia collusion than a Democratic House in 2019. Please donate to help me in my part of the effort to fight for a Dem House.
Thank you. We must have a Dem House. And so, we will.
