The Real Bias at the FBI was anti Clinton Bias
Hello! I’m Mike Sax and I’m running for Congress in the NY2 District. If you agree we need a Democratic Congress to get to the bottom of what happened in Russia Please Donate.

Now let’s get to it:
The GOP Congress is doing everything they can to change the subject from the Trump-Russia investigation to a weird parallel track where the real scandal is anti Trump bias at the FBI.
One very odd take is that Andy McCabe is inextricably biased because of his wife’s ties to Terry McAuliffe. But by this premise Comey should never have been allowed to do the Clinton email probe as he was a life long Republican who worked with Ken Starr in the 1990s, also investigated Clinton for the Marc Rich pardon and donated to both of Obama’s opponents in 2008 and 2012 respectively.
The GOP has seemed to decide that no one who isn’t a current Trump supporter can in any way be involved with the Russia investigation.
While the GOP’s clear desire to obstruct the investigation by focusing on the FBI is chilling-certainly the National Review’s glee-Yes, investigate the investigators –is chilling when you reflect on how far the NR has come since it’s Never Trump days-Bob Goodlatte and Trey Gowdy are asking one very good question.
“In a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his deputy Rod Rosenstein, the lawmakers ask for transcribed interviews as early as Thursday with FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, FBI chief of staff Jim Rybicki and FBI lawyer Lisa Page.”
“Among other things, the Committees are investigating the circumstances surrounding the FBI’s decision to publicly announce the investigation into former Secretary Clinton’s handling of classified information, but not to publicly announce the investigation into campaign associates of then-candidate Donald Trump,” Goodlatte and Gowdy write.”
That IS a very good question. It’s one that’s been crying out to be answered. Of course, this shows not anti Trump bias but anti Clinton bias. Indeed, the DOJ’s Inspector General’s office is supposed to be coming out with it’s review of the Clinton email probe very soon.
That is one of the questions you certainly hope will be addressed. The news of the Clinton email probe came out the very day it opened. The Trump Russia probe didn’t come out until eight months after it begun-and over fourth months after the election.
Of course, what has been happening is that the DOJ has selectively leaked info from the IG probe that absurdly is meant to show rampant anti Trump bias at the FBI. But Goodlatte and Gowdy here are somehow skating around a very good question.
When the IG report comes out this will be very interesting reading.
P.S. I’m Mike Sax, I’m running for Congress in the NY 2nd District and I’m a Hillary Clinton Democrat.
Meeting her recently was one of the biggest honors in my life to stand next to such a fine public servant and trailblazer. She seemed to like our Impeachment Train campaign t shirts too!
Think of the shirt as a one time investment in restoring legitimacy to this country.
And please donate so we can compete with Peter King’s $4 million. I know no lobbyists or millionaires like Peter King. Small donations are the engine of the Mike Sax NY2 campaign. Together we can do it. Because we must.
